Purpose of the package |
Current version: 1.2.12 |
The yanolc package is a partial set of LPRng client side programs
intended for use on Windows systems.
It can also be used in conjunction with traditional LPD daemons.
"Partial" means that there is no authentication, no encryption and no
interactive mode for the lpc clone.
Neithertheless the programs have more options than other Win32 lpr
programs I know.
The primary goal when starting development was to have the clones
at least compatible enough to run the printop script
to graphically manage print queues.
(see the screenshots).
License
The programs are licensed to you under the terms of a BSD-style license.
Package contents
In addition to klpr/klpq/klprm/klpc (which are lpr/lpq/lprm/lpc-clones) there is a snmpyalc program to retrieve a printer status via SNMP.
